Where are you from?

Ithaca, left for a while then came back. 

College in Ohio, then lived in Guatemala→NYC→ Massachusetts→Ithaca



What is your education in?

Bachelors degree in Comparative Literature 

Masters in English Education



What do you currently do for a living?

Student Services at Cornell


What is the best job you’ve had, worst job you've had?

Teaching middle school in Massachusetts in a Chinese Immersion school

Worst job you've had:

A bougie college admissions office that wasn't awesome



Did you play any sports or compete growing up?

No I was an indoor theater kid.



How did you find out about CrossFit?

It got a lot of air time a few years ago and I was aware of it



What brought you to Pallas?

Originally it was the class schedule, I like to work out with other people. There were class options in the morning.


How long have you been at Pallas?

4+months

What keeps you motivated to keep coming to the gym? 

Some of it for my own part, it's mental health and feeling good in my body and externally the vibes are really good and encouraging.


What’s your favorite and least favorite CrossFit movement(s)?

Favorite: Wall Walks, I like being upside down 

Least: Back squats, they can be very frustrating



What would your ideal WOD consist of?

Any AMRAP that I can lock in and power through and not worry about the length of time anything takes.

What’s your go to comfort food?

Egg and cheese sandwich, specifically on a jalapeno cheddar everything bagel with cheddar or american cheese.


What is the best food you have ever eaten?

I went to an Italian restaurant in Belize and had the tastiest meal I have ever eaten, it was raviolis.

What is your go to outside the gym activity for self care?

I like to play D&D and go for walks with my dog.


What is your outside gym hobby?

Writing and video games

Go to post workout fuel?

I usually chug some protein powder out of a to-go soup container and then eat lunch early.




Favorite place you have lived?

Guatemala, I was living in the mountains in Atitlán by a lake


Where is the coolest place you’ve visited?

I lived abroad in Spain for a while and I went to Barcelona and it was incredible, the art and architecture was really beautiful.


Item on your bucket list that you haven’t crossed off yet?

I would like to publish a book someday.


What book would you recommend to a stranger?

On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous by Ocean Vuong


If you could live anywhere and money wasn't an issue, where would you choose?

I like where I live now, but if money wasn't an issue I would do some serious landscape and renovations to my place.


Tell us something about yourself that would surprise most people?

I had a very princessy wedding dress!


What advice would you give to someone who is hesitant to start at Pallas?

I think that CrossFit has a reputation for being intense but I think the coaches at Pallas do a great job of making it accessible and scalable so that it's doable for anyone.


Favorite thing about Pallas? 

Vibes are really good, everyone is committed to working hard but not in a shitty way, it feels easy to show up and work hard for that reason.
